Customer Review

5.Studio album of German synth-cult band from 1997 that impresses with its danceable electro-pop with techno influences and the wonderfully androgynous voice of Marian Gold. The album also initiates the move away from the experimental genre commerce, and brings the band back to their roots electronic, dance-oriented synth-pop, with whom she was able to celebrate great successes already in the eighties. Flyer of the disc are their melodic synth tracks "Wishful Thinking" / "Guardian Angel" that you once heard never go back out of the ear. A class of its own in singing and playing are then the moody ballad "Inside Out" / "Pandora's Lullaby" / "Flame" / "Monkey in the moon", in which the fantastic voice Marian Gold comes into its own. The support of the record company kept within manageable limits at that time, unfortunately, and so it was not surprising that the album through space 97 not hinauskam in the German charts. An objective assessment without rose-colored glasses Alphaville here is difficult, I would say rounded 4 stars. After insurmountable artistic differences splitted up the tape, and made gold alone continue to publish the next longplayer thirteen years later, but this is another story, or review.
