The work of Bernanos was quoted by Lydie Salvayre in his latest book "No Crying", which won the Prix Goncourt 2014. I am amazed that no more than the author François Busnel and other writers on the set of show "The Great Library" did talk about anti-Semitism Bernanos, evident in the pages of "Major cemeteries ..." (pages 43-49-195-220-238-249-262-290-300- 316-320). This is not surprising in this former Maurrassian. While one can admire the courage Bernanos describing the massacres committed by the Phalangists in Mallorca during the Spanish civil war and the shameful complicity of the higher clergy of the time, his book is in my eyes one after belching delusional dotted with serious anti-Semitic remarks that distort fair reporting of crimes of this period, the first fruits of those committed on a larger scale by the Nazis against the Jews in particular ...
