This is probably one of these reviews, yet still need to be updated over time, because much can still be improved.
My previous console was the Hercules DJ 4 Set. In particular, the operation with the big jog wheels I really liked, and fast audio interface.
Now was I, it was about time for 2 years for an upgrade because the fader were already pretty abgeranzt. If re-setting the volume fader to 0, but this is up and down floundered in the Midi. Someone who had become accustomed to mix with the volume fader transitions, then had to changing over to the crossfader.

The whole controller looks dibasic. The brushed aluminum fits very well. I've noticed that here less lighting elements were installed and you do not get along well in the dark quite so.
In addition, the USB cable and power cord are required at the same time to operate! To be able to connect external audio sources also are needs programs like Virtual DJ or DJUCED. So as a standalone mixer you can forget ever.
I also had very large installation problems. As a budding specialist for system integration, I have the error source can not really fully notice. One thing is certain, this console is best operated with a USB 2.0 connector. In addition, other USB sound cards and headsets should be removed during installation.
Initially therefore had severe problems with blue screens.
Funnily enough, my Logitech G35 has been identified as Hercules DJ 4 Set. Pretty merwürdig, but can happen.
From DJUCED I can personally advise. Slow algorithm to analyze the titles and too many auxiliary functions that actually take a fun. In addition, the sound is not really good. At first I was really shocked what came out there for a tinny sound. My tip, Keyfunktion rausnehmen. This brings before some.
I can not say much for Version 7 Virtual DJ Le, except that there are performance-saving modes is active, the worse the sound experience. In the Pro version such things fortunately adaptable.
The Virtual DJ 8 Le version I have also been testing shortly. The website can be downloaded only on the Virtual DJ, if you registered the DJ console. There, the sound is a little better, but still not good. The automatic adjustment of BPM just made me so annoyed that I did not do so. I also have not found an option to disable it. Too bad, potential wasted.
One of the key points of the sound and is surprisingly good here! I've never heard such a well-resolved interface. Well, maybe is because I only know from DJ Set 4, but I can say that highs are reproduced detailed and clearly defined bass. Just as it should be. The only blunder is that the interface is not currently able to act faster than 4 ms without getting sound error. This course sees itself with the ASIO driver.
But that means nothing at all, because in my Hercules 4 Set were previously "only" 2 ms. The fact that it was 2.0 to 3.0 made of USB compatible, went with my Virtual DJ Pro version even at a speed of 1 ms. Potential is therefore still given.
The fact is, by 4 ms is a minimum delay to see the program, but you do not feel it really was much more noticeable in the 4 set.
For microphone input, I can not say anything. Perhaps this will change in the future, then I will grudge here.
To operate, I can not report as much positive unfortunately. Let's just say, the buttons, knobs and faders operate, but are not the precision miracle. The pots could much more snap at the neutral point, and particularly bad I find the pitch fader, which represents one of the biggest weaknesses as the DJ 4 Set.
Usable are, if you give them a range of + - 8% there, but better is less. The faders are simply quite spongy and when you have the position already established, it may be that this still moves by one unit. Why? Are there so few people nowadays the whistle on Sync buttons and adjust the BPM manually? That takes it out of the fun.
Audio inputs are working properly and have really absolutely no noise. Other audio sources can then be digitized with almost no loss of quality or of course be used to connect CD players and turntables. One of the main arguments for me to buy this console.
What is there to say in conclusion, after I have written to me all kinds of things at bay. The console is beginner-friendly, offers many well-meaning additional functions which sometimes are quite annoying as advanced user, has a robust, high-sounding appearance. I recommend everyone to use a clever DJ program. Virtual DJ Pro or Traktor Pro course were my favorites. Sooner or later I'm going to switch on the tractor. Mappings are available for this, so it should not be a problem.
I hope I could help you with my review. Full reviews are for the people who really consider spending more than 200 and intended not only play around with it. The whole thing in 2 - write down 3 sets is the whole not just and is useless.

The pitch faders are so vague that at higher volume (depending on genre, even after bass) adjust by itself. Only by 1 or 2 steps, but that does most of what already. Console is suitable for use without external CD player rather less. It is simply impossible to set only by feeling the BPM, because the further adjusted anyway.

Meanwhile, I would advise against the purchase. The feet of the Console are not the same. You "wobbles" slightly. In addition, I Verpatze a Classics Set after another, because the BPM always swings back and forth. Extremely annoying and makes no fun. The EQ knobs are also very strange to use. They key is not uniform. Only a great leap is made and then it slows down. Could possibly be in the program, but I think is unlikely. I forgive retroactively 3 stars. buys you the thing for maybe 180 more, it is not worth it.
