I have the LP since 1975 in my collection. Now I have allowed myself the 20bit recording, I have had good experience with such pressures by Kitaro and Pink Floyd. When I put the CD in my player, I was initially quite impressed, the Taktmitklopf effect turned positive immediately. However, with prolonged use is an unpleasant sharpness became noticeable. So LP out and cross belongs. That's not easy, because the CD has a sound level much louder. So adjust the volume each time you switch. The Result: The bass are on the CD clear and precise perceptible. But the highs are partially so sharp that they themselves unpleasantly noticeable made with my certainly limited, 53 years old, hearing. And it is this modulation has also significantly strengthened höhrbare noise so that I was afraid my system had an error. But nothing there, all right, it is "only" the CD. So in the end a clear PRO for the LP, because these rushes not nearly as strong. About the music: I would describe it as a symphonic poem, which sets the title in accordance with heaven and earth. Weird numbers partially the listener intense demand, but dissolve again in wonderful harmonies. On the other hand large choruses supported by Vangelis' famous synthesizer sounds. Out tip: The title, which can be found on many compilations: "So long ago, so clear" with the wonderful voice of Jon Anderson. Unfortunately, on the CD - opposite the LP - the subdivisions of Part 2 does not exist. This I can, but very different parts, not assessed accordingly here. CONCLUSION: I like Vangelis and this plate has long been one of my collection. Sit down and can be easily beam of the music in a different universe.
