Invitation to the Marriage (Paperback)

Customer Review

Everything is said in the title of this review: how the author describes married life of many couples between thirties and fifties is both humorous and brutally realistic. Between the couple that has nothing more to say, one in which each of the two feels misunderstood by the other and dream of something else, and the young couple full of promise but we guess how the story will end. .. the novel could be somewhat depressing if it was not as well written and lightweight. By the same author, I also recommend "Girls Hallows Farm".
