Currently the best adapter, tried 3.

I had the PC in the children connect to the Internet.
The children's room is 2 spaces from the router in the living room away (as the crow about 10m) but the PC is so unfavorable in the corner that with only about 5-15 Mbit WLAN can be reached, and also the transfer rate varies greatly. Since larger antennas helped not really.

I have built up in my parents' house a long time ago a small network with Devolo500 adapters and as they actually work quite well (partly from the basement up to the attic)
what I thought, that would certainly be easy to implement. (Cable length between the two outlets no 20m)

As some Devolo500er but fiepen (which are now just in the basement), I thought to myself I'll try the FRITZ! Powerline 520E adapters. They have good reviews and I also read somewhere that the eh all the same chipset have inside, should work.

Amazon Delivered quickly as ever, both plug in, the connection turned quickly forth, nothing squeaked, but the transmission rates were lousy. I barely reached 5 Mbit.
If then the cooker and some other equipment were eigeschaltet in the household, the line went dead completely together, and the adapter had to reboot in order
be taken just out of the socket. In my case unsatisfactory.

Ok, now I really took the Devolo500er who went so scarce to 10Mbps, but the whole thing was nevertheless disappointing. Also all optimization experiments as adapter directly into the can, all consumers in the adapter so brought no significant changes.

I went into the matter, and noted that the two sockets were hanging on different phases.
Should not be a problem according to the manufacturer, but is one. Complicating probably countless plug power supplies and electronic devices in the home to the "mess up" the network.

I asked a friend (electrician) if he can not hang the two sockets in the same assurance to me, and that was fortunately relatively easy.

Now the Devolo500er went already to about 35Mbit, a significant improvement so. But since I have a 50Mbit leased line, I continued to look for opportunities for improvement.

By chance I found the new Devolo650er, which should be much better with newer technology in harsh environments.

So again a Set 650s ordered, and lo and behold: Full 50Mbit, again a significant improvement!
I can only recommend this adapter, show especially under difficult conditions, these adapters their strength. They have also never been suspended and walk obediently in the standby mode on when the PC is switched off and wake also reliably again.

Together, however, the adapter have the bundled software ALWAYS almost exactly 2.5 times the transfer rate indicates how is effectively available.
This is something ugly.
Despite a buy recommendation.
