Manual modes:
1) Auto Focus or Zoom: Just press a button and you can at soulful metered large ring on the lens either zoom or focus manually adjust wonderful.
2.) aperture, ISO, shutter: Just press a button for switching and a choice. With two button presses you're in aperture, ISO or shutter also in manual mode, for adjusting the small dial is then available just before the big focus / zoom lever.
So just never went that in a consumer camera, if it ever was because so possible. Very good solved Sony!
Image Quality
I let the distinction between 4K, AVCH-S and AVCH first away and give the complete conclusion. No matter what you set, there are no camera in the consumer sector, which comes close to this image quality. Particularly noteworthy here is still the lowlight capability, so the image quality in low light. Such a low-noise image, even in difficult lighting conditions, so get some professional camera not go. The clarity and sharpness at 4K is beyond good and evil, these clips are scaled to full-HD absolutely fantastic.
The 24p mode
That is not a simple change in the modes is possible Äergerlich here. One required for each mode has its own memory card, unless it interferes with a not that the camera always has to reformat the card after the change. Therefore, I have two separate cards for each mode.
Second disadvantage of 24p mode: The high-speed function (AVCH-S) is not possible (at least for now, Firmware V2.0), which currently works only in non-24p mode.
Otherwise, both modes will absolutely flawlessly. For older televisions the 24p mode makes sense, older devices have some problems with high-resolution playbacks with other formats, so if you can do without high-speed, yet has older TV sets in the home, for the power of the mode sense because these devices in liquid 24p represent the movies (DVD and Bluray are also 24p).
Newer devices also with the non-24p mode no problems normally.
4k, AVCH-S, AVCH, Full-HD, high-speed
4K there are "only" in 24p or 25p, but the absolute in a crystal-clear, top-line quality. Sony has found a wonderful compromise between data quantity and quality. It would be nice, of course, a 50p mode, but maybe that comes with a firmware update still after. But otherwise the two existing modes are already outstanding.
Full HD in AVCH-S and AVCH
I will confine myself to the more recent AVCH-S mode, with this high-speed shooting and the excellent Full HD recording is possible, in brilliant quality
High-Speed
Great shots with 100 B / S, the only drawback, the resolution goes down to 1280x720. Since Sony could still make improvements, Firmware Update and high-speed in 1920x1080 or even in 4K, that would be something .....
Monitor connection
Unfortunately, the HDMI output has a small hook. With 4K shots he only works as long as the record button is pressed. That should change with the next firmware Sony urgently.
Otherwise, the output does what he should do, he brings the signal into first-class HDMI signal to the connected monitor / TV.
Conclusion:
For me, the best device currently up to the price category of around 5.000 euros, even the professional tools offered there do not provide better image quality, especially when it comes to lowlight. Only the then even faster ways to intervene manually can be a grab for professional unit, otherwise you have an absolute piece of cake here and if Sony still the firmware update a little ....
