After the first photos, I realized this is the objective that has been missing. Its optical properties are just good and the service is really great.
The easily adjusted zoom which, not adjusted despite large movements when worn, is indeed to be expected, but it still fascinates. With my EOS 450 D, it forms a well-Balanced, unit fits comfortably in your hand.
Most convinced me of the autofocus. So I have a swallow in flight repeatedly photographed. ALL (!) Photos are sharp. Unbelievable. Or gulls in flight. All images sharp!
That I have ever succeeded with any of my "black" lenses.
Only the hood is a bit difficult to assemble. Here a similar mark as the lens on the end of the camera ("red dot") would be helpful.
But that's not really a criticism. I've resorted to a small drill and paint. Works great, looks as if it were "ex works" way.
The image stabilization was in my budget is not there. Frankly, I do not miss her too.
At long focal lengths (> 150 mm) I've been thinking since the analog photography, the camera, or use a tripod!
Yeah, if need be, it is also a fast shutter speed, but I find not so good. I do not think much of it, because it restricts me but very in the design.
Nevertheless, the image stabilizer is a fine thing, but something for people with the appropriate budget.
Summa sumarum:
I am thrilled by the lens and was for me and it is worth every euro. Quality has its price.
