So Yotsuba in my opinion it is primarily the magic in the everyday. The mundane things in life that we take for granted, are seen by the girl as extraordinary. She marvels of everything the reader with it, and finish an album with the happiness of childhood to resurfaced.
Certainly, one can read the 7 to 77 years, but I believe that where a child will see a story, an adult can find an escape from the heavy routine and rediscover the pleasure of simple things of life, so well portrayed in these pages.
We can take it as a life lesson: do not be jaded by the ordinary wear and amazed look at our surroundings. as stated in the iconic series sentence: "enjoy everything"
However, in my opinion, if Yotsuba sees the world as well, she is not naive either. His view is not lower than that of the greatest around him. With great sincerity, she said out loud what we are not supposed to say politely, and streamlines our world, too complicated with its codes and rules dictated by society but sometimes absurd humanly speaking.
Yotsuba is also very funny: the reactions of adults against the playfulness and creativity of the girl sometimes makes me laugh.
And if you love kawaii, cute exaggeration in the manga, you will be served. It's so lovely that it becomes almost unbearable. Do not hurry, take a break between each album. Anyway, when this is over, you will be frustrated waiting for the next.
Add to that a very careful drawing, immersion in Japanese culture, a very fluid and uncluttered layout, and the beauty of a lost innocence that is found.
