At first I was disappointed with the K-35. Provides you by your height and class padding quite potential to my Nikon D700 with attached AF-S 24-70mm f / 2.8 G ED take that small inner width of 10cm limitert but recording the camera with Battery Pack MB-D10. While the built-in zipper allows for an increase in interior width 17cm, but then reaches the interior division series no longer in order to bridge the entire width.
Through investigation on the internet I found out then that Kalahari optional (and thus of course against additional costs) provides a compartments for the increased width of 17cm. With this additional equipment now the D700 with flanged MB-D 1o and attached AF-S 24-70mm f / 2.8 G ED fits vertically in the bag. Enough Velcro dividers help support the camera body, so do not rest the entire burden on the lens. In addition, can still be 3 - 4 additional lenses, SB-900, and all kinds of batteries, memory cards and Kleinkrams, such as wallet, papers, passport, etc. to accommodate.
When comfort you need through the large width of the bag already suffered some loss of comfort (alone even weight technically), the adjustable shoulder strap is long enough to carry the bag crosswise however. The cushion can be adjusted in its position and is provided on the bottom with an anti-slip coating / -gummierung.
Generally, this bag looks more like a student / Messenger as a hostel-quality photography equipment. Although the case appears to be processed very robust and able to lift large loads due to all-round shoulder strap and metal eyelets, but leave some details to be desired. Especially the seam courses and ends do not fit quite in the otherwise circular image and that in a cotton bag while containing a separate, Padded laptop bag included, was spared a compelling need rain cover, however, is for me simply incomprehensible.
Summary:
+ Inconspicuous appearance
+ Padding
+ Robustness
+ Comfort in the 10cm depth
+ Adjustment strap
- Subject to surcharge internal widening to 17cm
- No rain protection available
My result is therefore: 3 stars for the current configuration. Had 10cm and 17cm interior fittings in this set and there are still a rain cover, would definitely 5 star in it!
