Fortunately, I had a 5V AC adapter with an identical record to the one provided. For whoever comes with the garland has a US plug (it shows the photo, but it is not indicated in the description).

Otherwise, the garland gives a nice light and is not lousy when it is off (it is far from always the case). After staying on the tree, it now runs along a beam and used as ambient lighting (muted) in the living room. Very beautiful effect.
