Danish Dynamite!

Before the native of Copenhagen band Volbeat with their last album Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood has experienced success in Germany, they sat already with their second album with an exclamation mark. Published as early as 2007, appears on this album, what's in the band around singer, guitarist and songwriter Michael Poulsen. Although the country and Rockabillyeinflüsse are partly not yet as pronounced on this album, like on the last album, ROCK THE REBEL / METAL THE DEVIL is an excellent rock album, whose catchy melodies ignite later than the second or third listening. Very highly recognizable on this album, the influences of Metallica.

Who wants to hear, which path the band on their third album, should listen to the first single from the album SAD man`s TONGUE, a tribute to Johnny Cash. Outstanding title is the second single GARDEN`S THE TALE, which was awarded in Denmark with platinum. A catchy rock Kracher, in which took over the Danish singing Johan Olsen of the Danish pop band Magnets Korridorer.

As with Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac BOLLD be intrinsically Again, the remaining nine titles as Anspieltipps, with me walking toward the rockabilly Title DEVIL OR THE BLUE Cat`s SONG or melodious Stampfer A MOMENT FOREVER liked best. The album of the four Danes was therefore quite rightly album of the month in the relevant technical literature and should delight any hard rock and heavy metal listeners.

Who Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood like that can go wrong even with ROCK THE REBEL / METAL THE DEVIL nothing. In direct comparison with the last album, the four Danes this album is worse half a star. Because there is no 4.5 star rating, ROCK THE REBEL / METAL THE DVIL gets full marks as a complete star deduction would not be justified.
