When I gave away this unit a family member at Christmas, I had - after reading the reviews on this site - two fears:
1. If the unit also function or enters the phenomenon sometimes described that does not do anything at your fingertips?
2. it is with the device as a breadmaker: used twice, then forgotten.?
The answers: The unit ran perfectly and: It is with us every weekend in use. I had made in acquiring the mistake equal mitzubestellen me a book about ice cream recipes. Banana, strawberry, mango, pineapple and pina colada ice are followed. The preparation is actually very easy and requires in the first two times a little practical exercise. In the beginning we think still, the taste of the starting material would stretch through the gelling process, which is not really in my estimation and highest minimum applies.

This machine is with us so in continuous use: You pretty buzzing loudly, that's right! But you can be alone to work in front of him. For very important is the automatic shut-off mechanism. In October, the compressor suddenly turned not when a machine. Misconduct on my part I can be completely ruled out; the machine has not been moved and has not experienced agents. Warranty service from Amazon was exemplary: 2 days after sending the machine to the rear end of the center to me the amount without further inquiry was refunded. But a new Gaggia I dare no longer to order, after I read the review on this site again. Firstly, it is not that the first few days to decide whether the machine is reliable or not. Even afterwards, it can lead to problems. Secondly, but Amazon has even the machine no longer; if the next device should have a quirk again, perhaps only becomes apparent after 14 months, threatening a haggling over the issue of whether incorrect or defects were the cause. With a heavy heart I switch now to a fiend Cortina. Because of the clear advantages of this machine (more cooling, automatic shutdown, opportunity during the stirring yet yield to any ingredients) me the goodbye is difficult. There are also three stars. But the risk is simply too great to me! Pity!
