Sound:
Without being big sound expert I say just once that the headphones generally good but slightly bass-heavy sound. The surround sound is simulated and therefore of course not at the level of a real 5.1 system, but the differences between the right channel and are 'right behind' noticeably. Works surprisingly well against the LFE (subwoofer) simulation and thus result in low bass tones actually some 'Rumble' feeling. Listening to music I still recommend to switch off the 3D simulation because in my opinion somewhat suffer after the central pitch.
The included software offers still plenty of setting options (Hoefen / depths, frequency-based EQ, separate Lautstaerkeregelung for 3D channels), so that the sound still can be adapted to your own taste.
The microphone quality I have not particularly studied, but heard no complaints at least in a short Mumble operation of friends.
Comfort:
The earcups enclose even my rather large ears easily and the headset sits even after several hours still comfortable. The microphone can be easily bent in position, however, must again be bent outward when you fold it up, as it comes in an otherwise hair. The controls on the headphones are easily accessible, large and easy to feel, and the usual Logitech keyboards scroll wheel is to Laufstaerkeregelung especially handy.
Functionality:
Gillt Again: In general, all right, a little improvements could be made. The range is OK, but my Sennheiser HDR 180 headphones can do better. On my floor the Sennheiser Headphones rich in almost all corners, the Logitech headset but definitely not. Even the dropout process the Sennheiser headphone definitely better by there the sound is simply hidden and almost immediately returns when you come back going into range of the base. The Logitech headset falls here very negative with unpleasant digital noise, and also takes several seconds before the contact with the base restores.
Also There are departures from me for the USB connection, the base station. Thus, the CPU is not only an additional financial burden, but preserves the boldness in the system and an additional sound card which you then have to define as Standardausgangsgeraet (or in each application must specify, as such, if they do not accept the Windows standard). This would therefore still OK if because the sound card is switched off when the headset would log off the system, and thus last regains existing soundcard. This she does not. So you can switch off the headset, and decide instead to re-tone on his speakers have then you have to laboriously switch Windows to the other sound card, or the Logitech USB transmitter manually disconnected from the PC / sus pull the base. Another disadvantage: Without appropriate driver Nothing works (limited compatibility with other operating systems) and non-computer (tablet, MP3 player, ...) you can not connect here also.
Plus points are the possibility to charge the headset while using it. The supplied cable is more than long enough here for at least in my case. For battery life itself, I can not make a real statement due to my very short test time. The aforementioned Sennheiser Headphones definitely seem to be running longer with 2 standard AAA batteries, but are only headphones and a headset. Replaceable batteries would have been nice but the Logitech headset.
Conclusion:
+ Good sound
+ To wear very comfortable
+ Good service
+ Charging while in use possible
+ Kabellaenge
+ Range for use OK, but would be better
- Battery not replaceable
- USB soundcard (will not shut off when the headset is off, works only if there are drivers for the operating system used)

Addendum: After a few days of use there are several problems become noticeable:
1. The software / drivers are faulty, so that in some programs (such as Mumble) the sound can only be heard right. This can be overcome audio settings previously only by fumbling in the Windows. (Turning off the 3D canals, ...)
2. The headset also loses at one meter distance from the transmitter to connect. While this is keeping to a few seconds, but is nevertheless extremely annoying.
3. The headset crashes abruptly from (no sound, can no longer be a button off) and then must have the reset button, with the help of a paper clip, to be restarted!
Because of these problems, I can recommend the headset and it values from 4 to 2 stars from.
