The PSU comes in a relatively nondescript packaging therefore without guidance. However, this is not necessary with such a clearly constructed device. In principle, it is not only a simple voltage converter with a 5V USB output, and more. The manufacturer has waived unnecessary extensions such charge indicator, cradle, breakout cable and the like and reduces the whole unit to the essentials. (to mount cross, useful for multiple sockets) a plug-in transformer with a USB port and a status LED, which, however, nothing indicates that the voltage is applied. An iPod is simply connected via the supplied with the iPod docking cable to the USB port of the charger and the iPod will start charging. Unlike some competitors, the Artwizz device does not have the possibility to additionally connect a USB data cable to a computer, so it is really only used to charge the iPod (or other devices). If I have not miscalculated, it seems with the Artwizz PSU even faster to go than through the USB port on my PC, but I may be wrong. One thing might be worth mentioning: The clamp plates of the USB port is designed to be very strong. On the one hand this makes it a bit difficult to connect the device to be charged, on the other hand sit the connections then properly fixed. Whether one is good or bad is a matter of taste. Personally, I like so actually pretty good.
The adapter is also suitable to operate other USB devices that do not require data, so gimmicks such as USB cup warmer, but even more useful devices such as table lamps and the like.
