In addition to the original album on CD, the premium products are especially the two records. Very thick, heavy and stable, real plates and halt any Labberdinger. However, more for nostalgia fans and collectors. Two-three pieces per side - as is clear to me why I do not miss the record. So more of a nice-to-have as a useful item.
Highlight of course the three bonus tracks: 1. Pulling down the ride - something Saloon-heavy. In the beginning it was I did not like, but that's original and now I hear it quite like. 2. Home boy - has a nice chorus, but something seems familiar to me. I must somehow think of the song from the Bitburger Advertising (Will not you stay a little bit longer). 3. Good as gold could from Notting Hill-Billie album come and unfortunately flunked me. It also lyrically this stereotype "I-drink-and-let-me-go-but-please-take-me-back-back" topic. Nothing against the great texts from the album. At no times 10 minutes was enough with the three songs and it was a good idea not to take the pieces on the album, because they did not fit with the other songs (with 11 songs was still space).
The three poker chips are quite nice, and the dice with MK-label between the points of 2. Where so I do not know yet ;-) The notes and guitar tabs of "Get Lucky" (only the title song, not the whole album) see me as a guitar player, of course, very well received. On the back of the beautifully designed booklet note is it also the same, where you can buy the rest. Other pieces would have been nice. What should I do with the Replique a concert ticket, I do not really. For the wall it is too small and for the bulletin board, it's just not the original card of a concert, in which one has been even.
Of the two DVDs I like mostly the studio tour. Mark Knopfler and Chuck Ainlay give detalliert ascertain what equipment, tips and advice of the fabulously good sound comes. No wonder, as the studio has recently been awarded the "Music Producers Guild Award". The rest of the DVD and the second DVD which Guy Fletcher during KTGC tour has recorded as "Kamerakind" (essentially interviews with the crew), are quite superfluous. This one looks again to less than once.
Conclusion: For the money you really do not get much on offer, three stars, as Knopfler Memorabilia anyway are rare goods and convincing quality. But in principle you need only the 11 beautiful compositions of this truly great album .... and for the saved money buys you a concert ticket :-)
