Dennerle NanoCube 30L Complete Plus

First of all: I know that there are other nano aquariums Set's, which are also cheaper than from Dennerle. I deliberately bought this set because here everything is. It really only needs plants, decorative, water and animals. I found the price of 95, I have also acquired the set justified.

So in effect, a real beginner. I have me a heater additionally worried because it at home on cold days can be very cool with me before.

Structure:
The structure was not difficult, quite the contrary. I initially thought that my friend has to engage in weight of the aquarium under the arms, but was not the case.

We have first rinsed the tank with warm water several times and then let the water drain. While the Cube was dry on we were able to wash the gravel. The Cube is with us in the bedroom on a dresser. Among these we have the enclosed document laid out to avoid scratches. With us the cube fit 100% on the pad. After I was able to pour the soil. The 30L Cube 2 boxes were supplied with soil. I have the breeding ground with a Squeegee (small spatula, which I still had from a Wall Decal) smoothed and then as breeding ground from aquarium glass easily pushed away so that you can no longer see this later, but only the gravel. This was followed already in the port (3 parcels are delivered). This I poured into a 10L pail and this then spread gradually by hand in the cube, so that the soil was no longer visible. Overall, the ground came up about 5 - 7cm (it no longer knows for sure).

After that I was able to use the plant already. This I had already bought a week earlier and watered one week. You should make sure that all "foreign body" (clay, rock wool, plastic) were removed during insertion. When inserting I have every now and then sprayed with a spray the plants, because I left a lot to me time. I have used the plants with the help of a "food tong" (my can not rust, so I use it) I got through my reptile husbandry. But there are also special aquascaping tweezers, scissors etc. can be bought. This I find quite expensive and why buy new when old also works?

After the plants were used, I have about half the water filled (we reingestellt a small bowl and filled this water in the aquarium, so the gravel is not stirred up). After that, we have installed the technology, ie the filter and the heater and make up the rest of the debate. The method with the small bowl works really great. After the lamp has been installed and attached the clips for the cover. Everything turned on and ready was the NanoCube. :)

Our lamp runs on a timer from 8:00 bis 13:00 clock clock and 15:00 clock bis 20:00 clock. At lunch time we interrupt the supply of light for 2 hours to reduce the growth of algae.

Facing:
With us not even stocking is drawn, since the start-up phase of about 5-6 weeks to is not yet.

I'm generally of the opinion that one should keep in a NanoCube no fish, but shrimp, because for the Nano Cubes were designed. In the end it is up to you what you purely is because there is finally nano fish. Of course, should only be kept in a cube, which is also suitable for nano aquaria.

Conclusion:
I find justified the price of 95. The aquarium is well made and not finally I decided for the Dennerle aquarium since this is not so has an ugly plastic cover. But there are of course cheaper alternatives that I have not been tested and will not even make it bad, but I enjoyed the Dennerle Cube now fallen times better. I am satisfied with the Cube and am looking forward to when to move the shrimp. :)
