Oceanborn is the second album by the Finnish band Nightwish that you could probably sorting good conscience under Progressive Metal. Although the orchestral parts of songs are made mostly of synthesizers, but the result is very good. The real feature of Nightwish but their singer Tarja whose clear, strong and especially female voice genially from the usual pabulum True Metal "singer" (more accurately: beeper) apart. The texts do have depth and are for good part well in front of a fantasy background. Whether the assertion that Nightwish have reinterpreted with Oceanborn the Therion Theli album, true remains to be seen - for me personally conveyed the music of Finns a completely different feeling. Particularly to heart is this disc especially metal fans who once want to listen to frontwoman for a change, but also classical music fans who want to broaden their horizons. Because Nightwish is one of the best examples of the division "Classic Meets Metal". (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
