Finally, the magic date of publication of the new album, the extended version with DVD and finally the Deluxe edition now has been reached. This criticism refers now to the concrete in the price quite proud - but very fascinating Deluxe Edition: In addition to the album with its 12 tracks is found here, the DVD, the various interviews and studio includes features live songs. In particular, the acoustic version of "Sometimes you can not make it on your own" is a real icing on the cake! But that is not the remaining pieces in the shade - you can not wait, so full of life recorded by the album to see the next track. So as well as about 40 minutes to come together on this DVD, which offers quite a bit and actually should represent an essential feature for any U2 fan !!! Then there is a small book that is a collage of different photos, song snippets and Bonos creative scenic / artistic effusions and diary entries. This world, which reveals itself here to Bono's mindset is very fascinating and you can see here the matured although gooders and philosophers, but also the wild freedom fighter with his white flag, as he still hovers us from the beginnings of U2 in mind , The album itself can hardly be classified, but the tracks are still very heterogeneous - but that's just typical U2. Vertigo is a very groovy song with some upbeat riffs that make the heart of rock fans beat faster. Next, I would highlight the deeply touching song "One Step Closer" call, which is liable from the text as the musical transposition an incredibly powerful effect. "Miracle Drug", another quieter song is also advised absolutely beautiful. "Sometimes you can not make it on your own" was for many years and discussed Bonos relationship with his (then still living, but sick father Bob). Here is a lot of subtle delicacy in it. He is one of those very typical U2 songs with slow, almost ballad beginning to be finally discharged in a groovy sound thunderstorms. "City of Blinding Lights" should also not be mentioned, since this song is a musical highlight of the album. The remaining tracks are worth listening to in any case, but it is - in my opinion - not very outstanding pieces. Nevertheless, there are also these songs so much to discover, for example, that Bono & The Edge "Crumbs from Your Table" wrote, while a neatly poured behind the captain's armband - the result you do not even notice it at ... I would not recommend this, the Deluxe version, but at least to buy the DVD version. Otherwise you really are missing namely what !!!!!!
