The sound comes to the size and use as an alarm clock also fine.
The playback of music via 3rd party apps and the Philips dock app works fine.
The time is synchronized after plugging the iPhone instantly. The night light (adjustable in 2 steps) is a nice gimmick.
So much for the positive characteristics.
Here the negative points:
- Philips Docking app optimized for iPhone 5
- Philips Docking app reports at the start of the radio function that the iPhone should be placed in the docking station although it is there (ie radio does not work)
- The alarm clock alarmed about the docking speaker and the iPhone speaker with 1 second delay (annoying)
- My iPad 2 could not be loaded through the rear USB socket (Again and again the message "not charging" on the iPad)
Neutral points:
- The keys of the docking station can not be blindly operate because no surveys on the timber application can be felt
- The time appears relatively diffuse, as it is located behind the plastic (impossible to read in bright sunlight)
Due to the serious negative points I zuückgeschickt the dock again.
As a clock radio this visually appealing device is unfortunately completely flunked.
I hope the Philips still nachbessert (which I doubt, however, after they have now indeed repelled the complete division of consumer electronics)
One can get the impression that the developers no time was granted for more Mass-Production Completion of the docking station.
For the design of 1 star. Not more.
