Design reminiscent of the iMac

I was looking for an external monitor to expand my Macbooks. Since I was a student in addition to normal text and programming work also often operate photo editing, should be on it in any case an IPS panel in the order 23'-24 '(and if possible in the price range
Unboxing:
- The monitor comes in three parts: the screen, the base and the connector. The mating is done within minutes.
- Let the pictures suggest that the base could be made of aluminum, is "only" about plastic in aluminum look (can be seen only at second glance, but then interferes not continue)
- Are included: external power adapter, DVI cable + VGA Cable

Commissioning:
- The following connection: Macbook (white) -> Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter -> HDMI cable -> HP Pavilion 23xi
- The monitor was immediately recognized and automatically scales (no additional drivers required). The first impression: "Wow, what a sharp image"
- About the reach at the front of the Monitor buttons fine adjustments are possible. Factory Reset can be there between 5 modes select (HP Enhance +, Movie, Photo, Gaming, Text). Experiment a little himself brings great relief. Somewhere between "Photo" and "Text" I have the perfect setting for me found.

Other:
- Matt display, reflects as little
- Wide viewing angle thanks to IPS: even the colors do not change from the most extreme angles
- Screen can be continuously adjusted in the inclination
- Beautiful design (thin frame, shallow depth, not interfering on / standby lamp) -.> S pictures
- I have read that the foot should be unstable. I can not confirm (glülcklicherweise)!

Conclusion:
Have the HP Pavilion 23xi now more than a month in use and can highly recommend it: 5 stars!
