Despite shortcomings Top game

. Here are my main impressions after about 10 hours of play Locomotion:
+ Streckenbau: There are stretches of high complexity possible, whereby the structure is still relatively easy to get. Curves with different radii, various bridges etc.
+ Many vehicles in the areas of trains, narrow gauge trains (for mountainous routes), trams, buses, trucks, ships, planes, helicopters and later monorails and superconductor trains provide motivation and new challenges
+ Elevations and terrain, valleys and mountains. That this is not a foregone conclusion show us the products made by JoWood.
+ The pleasing low price, which is just at the half any competitors in the ug criticisms will do justice
+ Very high potential for addiction
- The graph is unfortunately outdated about 10 years - once you get used to it though, it's quite nice to look at! The long trains, which wind their way over mountains and the beautiful curves look really nice. Also season effects and urban growth are nicely managed.
- The possibilities to build train stations are partly ridiculous, so it is possible simply to build stations on cities over it, etc., which simply looks extremely bad. The routes, which can build the otherwise quite well successful competitors are sometimes only be described as environmental pollution.
- Relatively small maps
Conclusion: Despite the outdated graphics makes Locomotion simply fun and has a tremendous addictive! The tinker and gradually improving routes is simply a pleasure, especially the graphics, I think, provides a real model one path Feeling. The screenshots are not the moving graphics needs. The very simple control contribute to the addictive craft Feeling.
Just one example: two oil wells are on a map are very close together and a transport to the refinery consequently very profitable. But due to the high flow rate, I soon had to expand the route. Single track or double track? Which signal configuration? Several railway stations instead of a big one? Round course or single track? Dear many small trains or a few big ones? Dear detour through the valley or over the mountain? Or the mountain planing (expensive)?
The possibilities which offers a Locomotion here for these and similar tasks are simply gigantic and only after repeated play one has the feeling that they can really no longer improve. Here, the whole system is so stable and durable that you can mess around on signals and routes even during operation - without the possibility to create as TG timetables after new.
Locomotion thus resolves the weaknesses of its predecessor and builds its strengths further. As noted aptly Locomotion is thus the exact opposite of the competition: poor graphics, great gameplay.
