And at least one of the two new themes can be considered one of the most striking and most beautiful of the whole series: the speech is of course the Love Theme "Across the Stars", which Williams has composed for more than implausible staged love story Anakin and Padmé. It's all love themes belonging to the bittersweet saga, dramatic and suggests to the listener that it's really a great love geht- a love that can only be doomed to failure here ...
The music of Williams thus succeeds something Lucas in his film never ever gelingt- precisely the love story of the hapless husband (as I am) to convey credible.
The second new theme is rather quiet, mysterious nature It is the conspiracy theme around Count Dooku and his Separatist comrades. But even if this piece of the film well supported the dark shadows of the coming events, as it is seen in isolation but rather unspectacular and moderate. Because Williams had much better in stock.
As for the action items you can not meckern- Williams brings the familiar Star Wars bombast, albeit not quite as outstanding as to Episode 1. striking in the film the number of score Parts was from the last episode 1 to 1 in Episode 2 were adopted. (See the Colloseum-finals)
Some were also re-recorded. So you can hear for example. Very briefly "Duel of the Fates" and the invasion theme again on the CD. In itself this is actually not uncommon enter the topics in a movie series again in evidence. Surprising however is that was used at the track to Colloseum scene a completely different music. To be precise, it is the track of the place in Episode 3 use some war scenes and a soundtrack to Order 66. Who had this track so to Episode 3 misses on the soundtrack to date will now find it here.
And aside from the standard routine to Williams to "Attack of the Clones" brings, he tried with "Zam The Assassin" a little innovation to be brought in. In the film, even the electric guitar not noticed. The inclined listener will notice that that instrument is not really big is used. I could not really disturb me off. Also it is now somehow to be new and extraordinary or non STAR WARS is compliant, I can not say. The track itself is but in any case, even super- mistaken complex and long.
Too bad, the fact is that once again many better tracks are missing. I would have preferred it to the fourth superfluous "Across the Stars" replay of sacrificing and instead time to bring the short part of the Emperor and Darth Vader's theme theme both of which were played in a particular scene of the movie, as well as the final final battle between Yoda and Dooku is not heard as well. (The track "Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale" includes that part does not)
The Emperor Theme is absolutely not present but although it is the subject of top villains of movies and the flair of betrayal and intrigue actually best highlights. However, the great consolation is that you get to hear the end "Imperial March" in the best ever version ever and full presentation !!! This is for me to doubt the best movie themes ever.
In addition to the 13 regular tracks, there is a bonus track of as called "On the Conveyer Belt". Why this was not added taken regular tracklist is a mystery to me, especially since you also quite could have let him off.
My conclusion to Williams 5th contribution to Star Wars falls despite all sorts of criticisms but still quite good: unlike the movie you do not get here the 1 to 1 Score recycled parts of its predecessor. Trying new reinzubringen in the sound world of Star Wars succeed but rather moderate. However, the soundtrack even after the fourth repetition of the love theme still are fine on their own and added Star Wars with selfsame also a great little way. I can only the soundtrack empfehlen- one must not only have too many expectations of him.
Soundtrack fans and Star Wars fans access to anyway.
