I am for years Plasmafan because I have not been convinced by the then LED technology (plastic-looking images of TV channels). Around 6 years, TH-42 PX 80E 42in good and renders its service reliably a Panasonic.
Primarily we look SD channels and of course the public in HD via sattelite. Reciprocating back a DVD or Blu-Ray. We are therefore not be described as typical cineastes.
Main problem was now the connection poverty (all HDMI occupied, no USB, no network support and no DVB-S receiver integrated) and the other seat pitch (about 4.50 meters) to our plasma.
So we decided in the Cyber Sale for LG 55LB580V.
I must say that we are really surprised about the good image characteristics of the LED screen. The viewing angle is not as dramatic.
Positive also the good image representation of SD channels, HD is of course great. The 50HZ do the device no demolition.
As I said, 3D has never been a selling point for us and there is still certainly do in the next few years something.
Otherwise, the device is easy, except for the Order of the channel list but more on that later. The image quality is set to "Standard" settings surprisingly good and there is also an expert mode for custom picture adjustment. The little helpers like True Motion and noise reduction I have, however, all issued.
The network integration via LAN port also went without a hitch, via Wi-Fi, I can not say anything.
The sound is for TV boxes absolutely fine and clear, perfectly adequate in my eyes.
Even the built-in satellite receiver performs his duties passable, though I'm used to the luxury of a Atemiobox. But my wife hates the whole remotes O), so I fall back on the built-in receiver.
A negative point which has been repeatedly addressed is the sorting of the channel lists. Since LG has really shot the buck (but I have experienced even at old Samsung devices). Important when tuning is set to "Blind Scan" and suppliers "Other", so the channels can be moved freely (min effort has cost me at 40 stations 30).
All in all, a solid real smart TV to Schnäpperpreis, for people who can do without 3D and a good TV picture will also enjoy in SD area.
