I have long been a Philips DVB-C receiver, whose operation is partly illogical / stupid and unfortunately without direct recording function. During my research of Dyon Raptor has repeatedly surfaced and been well reviewed here and elsewhere well. Now after 1 week somewhat more intense use I can tell, class, the thing works the way I imagine it! You can always something one way or another to solve in example sort the channels. But it is certainly logical and comprehensible! A few facts and experiences: Yes, the manual is quite poor (and apparently by an older software version), but you get so 'pure' and can then find the rest out. Yes, from the factory, it can 'only' to max. Record 64GB. But even on hard drives, my old 60GB immediately went (but noisy). For 'time shift' it can allow larger plates, only the recording will not ex works. Caution, the favorable USB2 sticks that many have certainly easy indeed work, but they are for HDTV recording tolls. too slow! So buy quick stick or 17.95 firmware for HDD usage (downloads Dyon) and then hang so ne small 500GB drive off. The new now, who need only a USB port for power, run smoothly (the Note with external power supply so it can be ignored). Then switches also connect the provided when a timer is set. If it is in standby, unfortunately, the antenna is not! looped (or the amplifier is off). Ie use a splitter (I still do) or everything 'behind' only receives when he is on. The recordings are in .ts format (probably a standard). Can my 2nd TV not read directly, so you have only via the computer (but previously you had to burn to DVDs port ...). In some comparison portals of Raptor (and others) is also shown, if you 'twin tuner' selects. That is nonsense. He has a DVB-C (DVB2, HDTV etc) tuner and can receive a second transmitter and even third show while recording though. But the 2-3 transmitter must be in the same channel. In my search I have but true double-tuner found only on price, as are two of the cheaper and more flexible. For less than 100 euros (or upgraded over the bar) a class small device that does what it is!
