I can easily and quickly browse through the phone book of the FRITZ! Box, all extensions can be easily selected via the menu and klartextlich for internal calls or connect calls. No keyboard codes You must remember more (that made me quite disturbed when playing with my Gigaset telephones), acquisition of phone calls from the answering machine and listen to your messages, I can now perform menu-driven. The backlit keys and color display had my Gigasets already, so that's more standard equipment than notable additional feature compared to the Gigaset devices for me.
Regarding coverage I can also not complain, this is enough for the two floors of my attic apartment completely without causing noise. Here, however, I must confess that there were at my parents with the MT-F problems in the interaction with a FRITZ! Box 7270 v2. There were unpleasant clicking noises on the interlocutor. Here, however, as soon as possible a device replacement of AVM was performed (with the way, I have been made very positive experiences AVM Support) after detection of a ticket at AVM Support.
I particularly like the ability to install firmware updates.
Software errors can always occur once, but at least here you have the opportunity to fix these errors quickly and unkomliziert by an update. This possibility has indeed been used extensively by the AVM MT-D.
Features like Internet radio, read RSS feeds, or queries eMails are nice, but for me only Addons - which were indeed but nevertheless implemented fairly decent.
That you can not, as shown in the advertising brochures, gets to see the picture of the caller on the color display is surely a bit misleading. But I must honestly confess that I do not know any way to define itself a caller photo in the phone book with the FRITZ! Box. Here AVM must therefore if already retrofitted on either side functionalities (or I get one at that). It is a pity that you can not assign individual ringtones for specific phone numbers or contacts.
Even when the battery charge status indicator and the indicator for signal strength, there are probably problems. Anyway, I can not always understand all the fields shown here.
In summary, one can say that the FRITZ! Fon MT-F does exactly what it should: it is working properly with the FRITZ! Box together and can be perfectly be used to make phone calls!.
Small teething fixes AVM hopefully prompt firmware update!
Update 02/02/2011:
Meanwhile, the MT-F also dominates the advertised on the packaging function with the caller photo.
Still fascinates me primarily the interaction of the terminal with the FRITZ! Box and the central management of phone books, ringtones and all the other nice additional features.
The clicks that I have mentioned above, were the way even after a device is replaced sporadically available. The solution of the problem was too simple.
It was namely the installation, laboratory version, which was supposed to improve call quality in conjunction with the MT-F. A downgrade to the regular firmware version brought the final success. Since then, I carry only the regular firmware updates at my parents remotely through and had since then no support to correct annoying clicks afford ...
I myself had in the meantime, incidentally complained my MT-F from AVM because in each key the backlight in fine cracks in paint schwazen (I hope this is understandable described) by rail. The me without hesitation about ending exchange devices no longer have this optical defect.
I wish to emphasize at this point that this is my personal opinion and his own impressions of and experiences with this product and its manufacturer.
