Sony Ericsson MBW 100
Sony Ericsson MBW 150
MetaWatch Analog
MetaWatch Digital
Sony LifeView
Motorola MotoActv
Pebble SmartWatch
And now the Moto 360
The Moto 360 is in addition to the analog MetaWatch the nicest SmartWatch I had. Where beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is highly subjective.
A round clock's just somehow tied together;)
What I like about the Motorola:
-Design
Color display: This course allows some things which one with a "black and white" SmartWatch not or can not make sense. For example, Google Maps map view, very attractive dials, and more.
-Google Integration: "Ok Google"
Most likely already know. Now you can make full use of the clock out, without having to pick up the phone from his pocket. For example, "what will the weather be like tomorrow?" Or Navigate to ...., or text message to John Doe, I am late by 20 minutes because of storage. etc., etc..
What I like not good at?
-Battery Life
-Vibration Much too weak, often hardly noticeable
-The Display! Why although I have mentioned it positively above?
For me, the display is a SmartWatch the nuts and bolts! What helps me the best SmartWatch if I see anything?
And that is precisely the problem!
The display continuously disabled to save power after a few seconds. And yet, the battery will last just as one day.
You have the clock "hampelt" "fidget" or make any gestures which again displays with the display for a few seconds something. Otherwise, it's dark. A quick glance at the clock while working in the office is hardly possible.
Ok, you can activate the "continuous mode". Toll, then the battery is already empty after half a day.
Of course, shown on all product photos is how beautiful it looks when the display is on. However, this is rarely the case and too short. Since then helps only partially, if the display may represent something nice ...
What I do not like this display also: The readability in the sun. Critics will say that it is my recession 'good' readable.
Compared to the Pebble clock, which is similar to the Amazon Kindle, that's a bad joke. Or has anyone tried to read in direct sunlight before an incoming SMS?
In the Pebble the display nonstop information displays. And the battery lasts while still a whole week!
A similar display has only the Sony SmartWatch 2, as well as in color. Only the clock is very ugly in my opinion.
The display is an LC display and not AMOLED. The contrast shown on the product pictures is exaggerated in my view and does not meet the reality.
Bottom line, the clock is, however, quite well. It has the same weaknesses as all Android Wear Smart Watches with color display.
The battery lasts only one day, the display is permanently off and not easy to read in sunlight.
Therefore, only three stars.
Of the options, however, a wear is awesome. A SmartWatch is in my opinion a truly meaningful and useful addition that I do not want to miss. However, the functionality should not always stand behind the design.
I'm not yet sure if I keep the Moto 360 or prefer more use the Pebble.
Hope the recession was somewhat helpful.
