A year ago, we decided for a new Internet provider. It should finally be a high-speed connection, unfortunately we could because of the expansion, with us choose only one cable provider (KBW) for an adequate speed. There, however, we just wanted Internet no TV and no phone, and thus the trip went.
Due to the selected option we were given a customized Fritz box in which you do not enter a phone number, and thus also no VOIP provider.
Now good advice was expensive, after a long search I came across this little marvel of technology and I decided to try it and I was surprised that it worked because the IP station automatically builds the VOIP connection and only uses the Router as a modem.
My configuration
Connect the IP station via LAN to the Fritz box and configure it based on the data, or the wizard in the station, the VOIP provider. This is all done through a browser-based configuration page, after the first start-up, this can be changed over the phone.
I have 3 phones (Fritz fon: No special functions possible; Gigaset C300H all possible function as e-mail receiving online phone book Toggling etc .; Gigaset A400 phone accordingly) with 2 different phone number with one online voicemail * configured.
Using the wizard, this is fairly easy to do.
The strength of the DECT station is very good, I have it available in a three-story house in the middle floor and did both in the basement as well as the DG good reception and good audio quality of the interlocutor.
Conclusion:
- Recommended for everyone the Internet provider would prescribe to how and by what standard phone.
- Best with a Gigaset DECT phone use.
- Relatively small size
- For a year now in use, and not a single misfire
* This is the commercial version there is also a version for private use, which has an integrated answering machine, but can handle less hand parts.
