Software Updates? but not by Kathrein ....

Have the receiver for a year now. Picture and sound quality are excellent when it times to work for a longer period of time.
Unfortunately, the company Kathrein is apparently not or are no longer keen to develop this product through software updates continue as originally promised at launch. You have to before 1 year for an update waiting the turn is so bugged that you can not play. Then betas are made available and asked the community to cooperate. Result after several months of waiting time: The Final 2:01 that has more errors than the old 1:06. Unfortunately, a deterioration in SD image
Nothing has been well implemented nothing that many "testers" have gathered over the last few months. And Kathrein remains silent.
My conclusion: If Kathrein not soon decides, the UFS 910 to miss a functioning firmware, I advise anyone from buying this device.

Recently, the promised new FW came out 2:02 that was supposed to eliminate any errors. Here again only as RC (Release Candidate). These FW is of course not but error-free offers now turn Kathrein the possibility of using countless bug reports might still an FW hinzubekommen that nearly the offers what one would expect from this device: to and record on an external hard drive television, and error-free. Of course, the time has been set back to the rear for a functioning Final by the RC now. This can amount to half a year in the worst case by Kathrein era again. Or even longer?
The promised at the launch (the contemplated) Multimedia properties (was for me a reason to buy) that should be accessed via the LAN interface, will definitely not come. Why not? Kathrein Comment: Because technically impossible. My comment on this statement: Perfect nonsense! The just do not want.
In addition, there is a fear that it is the last FW because the device is now also disappeared from the range of products on the Kathrein homepage. The successor is already waiting: UFS 912. May in a better fate than to be granted his unfortunate predecessor.

My Conclusion:

As much as I appreciate this company, developed excellent products in the antenna technology and also offers: a Kathrein receivers I'll never buy me. For what took place here from around the Kathrein UFS 910, was more than pitiful. I hope that they have learned from this debacle.

The end of December announced and firmly promised Release 2:02 shifts according to a statement Kathrein by one month back. So is due for release in mid to late January of 2010.

And once again Kathrein did not abide by promises:
The promised for the end of October flawless final 2:02 came as a release candidate.
The final firmware has been promised for the end of December. The end of December, customers have been put off until the end of January, there still "problems" have occurred. End of January came, you guessed it, of course, not new Frimware. And Kathrein was silent at first without any comment. Only after massive questioning then you got an answer (probably as a text block) that now also is equal to HD + with inserted, so that you can receive HD + with corresponding modules. For me to move another excuse to postpone the dates for a working firmware backwards. Now is "timely" or the end of May the speech.

I will write no more update for this recession, as the otherwise an endless novel is. Fact Kathrein did not make it in 3 years to present a firmware for this device, with which one can operate this device actually good error-free.
The constant promises, postponements and almost refusing to customer information do theirs, so I at least buy no more receivers from this company.
Hopefully other better experience with this device have made.
Finally:
Shame on you company. Kathrein, so one does not go around with customers!
