True Image 2014 does not meet these conditions, unfortunately.
Why is that?
I've been using True Image for over 5 years for regular data backup and system adjustments (esp. Hard disk changes).
For this is good and the version in 2014 - but also reaches one of the previous versions 2012 or 2013 for this purpose, and in any case in the 2012 version, the teething problems have since eliminated the most sometimes not get Acronis to new versions only after a few months and under control. The 2013 version I have, therefore, fall back to the 2012 version.
An upgrade to version 2014 so not worth it - unless you want the Acronis Cloud, that has enough bandwidth to pull an image from your PC to the cloud, which in its basic version a mere 5GB of online storage space for 1 year (!) provides for free.
If you need more space, also pays more.
50GB is available for 29.95 / year and 250 GB for 49.95 / year in addition to the purchase price for the software.
But that's not all: The 5 GB of free online storage space must be paid from the 2nd year with 9.95 / year.
Because there are significantly cheaper and faster alternatives to secure a backup / Image. Apart from the fact that a recovery from the cloud with any hardware is not possible and very, very long time. I stay true to my USB hard drives that I use alternately and safely stocked.
What else is new in version 2014?
Not much. She is now fully certified for Win8 and that was basically it.
Oh yes: There is now a Lite version that does not include a free cloud storage and can not create a full disk image and
a premium version that includes the former Plus Pack, so it allows you to migrate an image to new hardware.
For me, Acronis True Image is still a useful tool Image.
However, in version 2012 Design.
New customers should therefore consider whether they prefer not to purchase a favorable previous version.
