In a garage with concrete block walls in cement plaster and wood siding, I applied in a morning 8 liters of paint on about 35 m2. First, acrylic stain on a wood, then a gray acrylic paint on the coating and finally a burgundy paint on the basement blocks. No dilution of these three quality paints (Tollens) and a convincing result.
The commissioning of the machine is easy, with detailed instructions and reminder stickers pasted on the unit. 3 types of nozzles, 3 airflows corresponding to the drive of the engine block and 3 settings of the orientation of "jet" painting (vertical, horizontal or diagonal).
Then, 1 liter of paint Max goes in the bucket is properly attached to the gun itself. The air hose is 4 meters long, the CPU moves on wheels and starting is done with his foot by a large push button.
At the first stroke of paint, 25 cm from the surface, still holding the gun well perpendicular to the wall, make sure not to overload working on successive surfaces not too extensive. The paint flow can be adjusted by varying pressing the gun trigger to prevent overloads.
Spraying is fairly accurate but you still have to take the trouble to protect adjacent surfaces. The ease and speed of work is impressive when compared to what is usually done with a roller. In addition, the paint covers well the roughness and into the depressions (especially for blocks).
The air flow is quite large (it surprises even some) even when we do not projecting paint and be careful not to point the gun in sensitive directions (dusty floors, tarpaulins ... ).
Finally, the gun must be meticulous cleaning (bucket, nozzle, butterfly) and is easily done with water for acrylics (the use of alkyd and white spirit to clean must be more complicated).
The result after only one layer is exciting because no one has the feeling of having done a chore.
