I had bought this Tele for the Nürburgring. Who knows the ring, who knows that it may be there very changeable weather. So even in this event :-) I end start / finish made from the stands in various lighting conditions a lot of shots that were all sharp. Autofocus is not a bunch of temperament, but fast enough for me. The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of internal focus, which is why the front lens rotates. Polfiltereinsatz is thus very limited. I compare this lens, the 70/300, but I am now reconciled with his neighbor "relatives" again. The big brother is a whopping 200 more expensive but not better. On the contrary, even in comparative tests, he was beaten by 55 / 300s. Hopefully Nikon did not notice the mistake as soon :-) Conclusion: A really good lens, which is quite sufficient for amateur photographers
