the main reason why I watch the Powerline Network Adapter
Bought have is that I wanted to stream HD movies from your PC to my PS3. As a WLAN connection
is generally too weak and the flow rate is too low.
Installation:
Everything went very quickly. No software needed. Just run as described and the Pair button
. Press And you've got a cable network! *****
Power:
As already indicated above, all very stable and fast. There is nothing to complain about. The performance
of 200Mbits sufficient. But who can possibly "future-proof" buys are also welcome to the 500Mbits
Variant set. I think that there is no difference bezgl. Stability or installation. *****
Streaming from the PC to the PS3:
As the Internet often causes problems when it comes to streaming on the PS3, is now following even a small
Instructions how it works simply and correctly:
1. Uses no WLAN. Establishes a cable connection or buys you this network adapter.
2. Invites you the freeware program "PS3 Media Server" down. With this you can simply, quickly and clearly the files
manage to be released incl. a few options (but usually do not have to be used). The program is much faster than in the rest of the Windows Media Player (Windows 7).
3. Enables the Media Server function on your PS3.
Finished!
Danger:
If the video files in MKV format before it can be that the transcoding buffer becomes full and then the video
begins to falter. In the case simply download the freeware "MKV2VOB" and MKV files mux (Use default settings, possibly to convert DTS to AC3 Sound).
Now should no more problems. Generally, however, it should be noted that own backup copies of Blurays have a "watermark". This means that it is possible that while the video file runs, a message appears that the video is copy protected. Possible solutions there are:
1. If the sound ausetzt (or the whole movie) and the message comes, goes into your PS3 XMB menu and change the year for the date manually! Now the warning should disappear and depending on Blu Ray get the message after 20 minutes again. Then again change the year. Is only a temporary solution, but better than nothing.
2. Supposedly it helps set the tone of the PS3 does not run via HDMI but via optical cable. I have not even tested.
I hope I could help.
