Darker than previous but still good

The fourth book in the series is devoted to one of the sentinels of the pack of leopard Darkriver: Clay. Raised by his human mother who has always preferred to act as if her son was perfectly normal, burying his true nature, Clay had to struggle alone with his animal side during his childhood. Talin is its small neighbor, a girl went to a foster home to another, until it ends up in the hands of two executioners.

Ce livre possède une tension presque palpable. Nalini Singh does not hesitate to push his characters and their emotions at the end. The childhood of Talin is especially hard.
