Bluetooth pairing works impeccably, is recognized as a HID (Keyboard). After switching on the keyboard you will find this in each case for 1 minute in pairing mode. At first pairing a numerical code has to be entered, then the device always connects automatically.
Bluetooth should be at least V2.1, otherwise there are problems with sleep mode of the keyboard.
- Under Windows, of course, missing important keys: function keys, Alt and the middle key block (Del, scroll, Print Screen, ...).
- In addition, the following three buttons do not work: "|" (found in normal layout to the left of the Y button, here theoretically about a "Alt Gr" combination) => possible remedy: short-term change the keyboard layout to a language that these characters accessible offers (eg US keyboard: "" can be found in the same place as indicated on the keyboard, only this time on Shift accessible; changing one must adjust but via Ctrl + Shift, as the usual combination Alt + Shift on the Bluetooth Keyboard does not exist)
Other Features:
- The "Map" button corresponding to the windows key
- Operate from the top row of keys: Escape ("Notify" button), search ("Just Type" button), volume (+, -, silent), pause / play (in Windows Media Player and VLC), lead (in Windows Media Player)
The device itself works with 2 AA batteries (included), and has an on / off switch.
Dimensions (on the desk):
Width 28.5 cm
Depth 13.2 cm
Height from 0.5 to 2.3 cm
Keypad extent (and therefore also key size) corresponds to a standard keyboard.
Weight (with batteries): 365g
Conclusion: small and handy, as (only) Windows keyboard not recommended but quite.
