Update 8/22/2014:
After I did not like the Fujitsu, today I have now bought the HP Z27x and thus finally with HDMI support found a great alternative. In addition, it offers a significantly better operating concept, lateral USB ports, Picture-in-Picture, etc. When black level he plays this on a similar level as the Eizo. The HP glowing example as good as not.
Review:
Negatives:
- At some places the edges, take the Eizo monitor test (can be found at Chip) in solid areas perceive a very light approx 0.5cm wide shadow. However, really decent and while working me of not even noticed.
- The keys are not illuminated. If you want to change times the input signal and the room is a bit dark, then you have to look. Or you realize simply that it is the second button from the left)
- The USB Hub has "only" USB 2.0 and only 2 sockets and can not be achieved from the front
- The built-in speakers have each only 1 Watt
- No separate audio output for example, for a subwoofer
- Simple Design
- No HDMI (not possible with adapter, because HDMI is on DisplayPort only active converter and HDMI to DVI is only possible if the sending device uses the DVI protocol, which in turn transmits no audio signal)
Positives:
+ Great color rendering (subjectively)
+ Hums not, no matter what level of brightness
+ Does not flicker
+ Consumes only 27 watts! Power consumption ranges depending on the ambient brightness from 23 to just 44 watts
+ Quiet, because there is no fan
+ Integrated speakers
+ Integrated USB 2.0 Hub
+ DisplayPort (simultaneously transmits audio, so it saves a cable)
+ Switches off automatically as needed when you leave the workplace (EcoView Sense)
+ 6 ms gray-to-gray
+ 5-year on-site exchange service
+ Super stable foot
+ Height-adjustable (17 cm space under the monitor)
+ Rotation
+ Tiltable
+ Non-slip feet
+ Due to the resolution fit 2-4 applications on the screen (I recommend AquaSnap for easy positioning)
+ Windows 7 icons are just big enough. Who does not have such good eyes more: a comparably good 30-inch model does not exist in my opinion. Therefore, the Windows Start -> "display" type -> "Display" in your region> Select 125%.
+ Status LED can be switched off via the menu
I have previously scoured the way a lot of reviews. In fact I am now already for half a year after the monitor that does not fail, in contrast to Dell, HP, etc., because the power supply explodes, no buzzing, no humming, no fleckt, burned no electricity and what I know else all have read.
This also equal a Note: Please, please, do not buy this monitor if your graphics card does not support 2560x1440 pixel. The Dell monitors there were many critics who spoke of a "washed-out" image because they have fired a 2.5k display like this with an old Full HD card. It finally closes yes to no BluRay with Scart. So check beforehand in the specifications. And do not forget: Youtube videos have a maximum of only 1080p. So 50cm distance should comply with films already;)
The display way, I have bought in hardware costs, because Amazon does not offer pixel test. 20, - EUR extra charge I take gladly accept, because I at the price range simply presupposes class 0. Of course you can also use the Amazon funny right of return, but I did not futile trying.
Those looking for the way a dark DisplayPort Cable (DP Mini on DP), which was once looking for clicktronic. Unfortunately, not found at an affordable price from Amazon (all on EIA). Great plug, 1-5m long and 10-year warranty.
