I had for some time a Musicman BT-X1 of Technaxx connected as sound enhancement and was pleased with the system and, ultimately, by the sound. Now I wanted something that can be attached to the laptop. Then I came across a similar sound system from Logitech that can be installed permanently on the notebook, the Z305. The Z205 I briefly considered but the size did not like it. My first concern was equal to the side-facing speakers, but more on that later.
Since I am convinced Logitech buyers, and almost exclusively Logitech buy computer accessories, I trusted the brand and its claim. After a week, I can try so the Z305 and its properties describe something.
The 4 stars are well deserved, the sound is a significant improvement, finally, there are bass and richer sound, finally the laptop sounds better, yet you can see the system almost not. The installation went smoothly and virtually self-explanatory, have Windows 7 and the system will be integrated just as easily. Driver searches the device itself and installs itself as a new sound card with speakers. It has a USB port, so it can be operated either by battery and Bluetooth, which is important insofar as it usually has 1-3 USB slots are available at the laptop.
The package yes as described unnecessary and plenty of plastic. But the pre-perforation worked perfectly, I've neither injured nor was it difficult to unpack. Cardboard would have been to me personally prefer this whole waste need not be, especially not for such a package-friendly product. The Z305 has a bit weight, it is not particularly difficult, but it is enough that it attracts my folding mechanism, I wonder how long my Toshiba goes along with this. The appearance is pleasing, black and silver always looks good. The buttons are big enough and you will also blind.
Unfolded fastening clips and set to the Monitor, the recess fits perfectly beside and above the WebCam. The cable is just Suffice long. This can have advantages and disadvantages. The USB cable of the Z305 comes something left shifted out of the device. My USB port is on my big 17 "unit on the right side next to the numeric keypad. The cable is for just long enough, bad for people whose USB port below the numeric keypad. I think with 15 inches and Links arrangement is far smoother. But there are now already in 1-euro shops rollable extensions, with me fits the whole Maybe Logitech had the roll-out cable integrated in the Z305 gutgetan Aaaber:.. advantage of the short cable, it dangles not much around the system is mounted as quickly as. dismantled. A spring clip pushes the device to the laptop case and a rubber is installed prevents slipping out unintentionally and ensures good fit.
Unpacking and installation would be done. Now for the most important, to the sound. Yes, because I start first with the first impression, when I held the device in hands. As described sit the speakers on the sides and disappear behind the monitor, the already hinted that they would sound a little dull. The speakers are only about half as large as the MusicMan BT-X1. The design is the same, 2 speakers are plugged into a sound box. Since I can draw a comparison with a similar device, I do with the other aural impression on. The BT-X1 plays music very well balanced, less bassy and clear, ideal for dining, relaxing describes it best. The Z305 sounds altogether warmer, you felt like you were in the living room, lulling and space filling.
The bass of the Z305 are not bad, but unfortunately the downs are quite booming, rock music sounds great, Pop is also great, hip hop and dance music are ok, but the system pushes there already reaching its limits, because the actual bass are not mega deeply what ever by title to a "pop" instead of "rum" leads, which was probably not implement different due to the size of the speaker and is.
Also, another sticking point for the music lovers, the heights are not particularly limited in the foreground by the system behind the monitor. Therefore ballads are grumpy and not very clear, and depending on the genre and title this fall here and there, even in rock music.
Summarize the sound together again. Overall, the Z305 for the speaker size, the shape and sound pretty good hits. Overall, the sound often looks dull and grumpy. Little dynamically flat, but very warm.
I can not complain about the volume, except that I can not do too quiet because after a moderate level comes when further pressure on "-" suddenly no longer, because the audio output level of the source must be regulated separately.
Is there something else to say. Yes, the Logitech is a sound enhancement, disappears discreetly in the background and does what it should. That at all low sounds from the narrow coming device is amazing, unfortunately suffers from the sound clarity, a future Z30xx has hopefully fold bear ears ;-), I mean Tweeter, this would the system look good anyway.
So Logitech, cable reel and Tweeter, perhaps even your own personalized EQ, then you have a great sound system.
Genuine Hifi comes so do not over who has built grottige Laustsprecher laptop, or for ne spontaneous office party or between, music, the system is quite capable. Well deserved 4 stars, Logitech has hardly done anything wrong, everything is thought out and works. Processing is good Logitech level, although plastic, but made the best of it. A travel bag is included with the device, because Logitech has thought differently from the packaging.
According to the website, the series was set well and it may be obtained nurnoch remainders and of course the sound probably optimal Z205. The Z205 can be mounted but not centered on Lappi in Webcams, that was my reason for choosing the Z305. Perhaps Logitech already working on a new Soundbar
