Discrete device - Easy installation

The ABUS RM20Li is first times very discreet - no continuous flashing red LED nerve, as is the case with many other smoke detectors. This is an important point for me, because the detector as possible in the middle and must be installed on the ceiling of the monitored space. I've already so a blinking nerve part in the office - well, you get used to it, and in daylight that falls hardly on. But at home I need something not at all. I want to be neither angeblinkt constantly while eating, reading, watching TV, or even sleep, just to know that since any battery is still full.

This guy here promises to keep for 10 years and then to whistle on its last legs, if it no longer feels quite fit.

Battery replacement is not necessary, or better said not possible. I think is a good idea: better than complete replacement Batteriegefummel: After 10 years, those things are guaranteed inside completely turned dusty and full of fat (especially in the kitchen!). So complete replacement. For the price probably not an issue.

To assemble: Included is a (single) quite strong and solid Magnetplaettchen, to which the device then depends.
Can be fixed to the ceiling to this tile either with the supplied screw / dowel Duo (the plate is already pre-drilled in the middle and you just simply screw durchdruecken) or just stick to the ceiling.

Here there seems to be some confusion because Abus curiously a pen hot glue mitliefert, and recommended in the instructions, only to be used to stick them without saying a word about how they can go.

He needs indeed a hot glue gun to. Most of these things in the lower price range but make erfahrungsgemaess quite often messy and burnt fingers. So stay away from those things!

In short: Who has a concrete floor, just take screws and dowels (existing drill provided) or sticks - see below.

Who has suspended plaster ceilings, the bit can better aside and sticks the Magnetplaettchen simply at the ceiling. Since the smoke detector is a lightweight, you need to certainly not hot glue. There are many manufacturers of double-sided adhesive foils that you simply tailoring to the right size. A Futzelchen sided carpet adhesive film does it, for example, completely. In a pinch you can also suitable owl / Pattex take (just please no paper glue).

The reliability of the device I can not say - I do not but have noticed the ABUS - as the master key - a table of 1-10 used for security categorization.
