If you do not want to always have a DSLR case, the G15 is definitely a good choice for a compact camera.

Even when not so good lighting conditions you get pretty good results, a faster AF and good setting,

as HDR mode or a built-in ND filters offer many opportunities.

The build quality is good, overall I am very satisfied with the camera and they would at any time recommend.
