Imperial Blaze (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Lange was nothing to hear from Sean Paul, now he's back to bring his new album "Imperial Blaze" his kingdom, the dance floors of the planet, again for burning. His last work, "The Trinity" is actually back nearly four years since of course one imagines the question of whether Sean despite the pause can build on past successes again. Unlike its predecessors, Sean Paul has invited no guests for "Imperial Blaze", but performs each song alone. In the current black music scene almost certainly an exception, but it also testifies to self-esteem and confidence in their quality.

After a brief opening song called "Lace It", the mood a bit heats up thanks to high speeds and faster Claps, the listener "So Fine" comes immediately on the benefit of the hit single. Here, Sean Paul presented as ever, say hard blaring beat that blows the dust out of the speakers, to immediately catchy rhythms and happen as so often his addressed to the Ladies Lyrics. If we love him, so it will come in 2009. Also there is the somewhat more romantic side not too short and so Sean is on the melodic, equipped partly with freaky synth sounds "Now That I've Got Your Love" that he did not can occur only as a macho.

"Press It Up" sounds by name already be back for a Burner for clubs and actually it is also one. Lyrically you can not expect much more than a few dance instructions, but more is needed not to make this whipping Beat thunderstorms another hit here. Sean Paul sees itself not only on dancehall, but also a bit when it comes to reggae, he shows us with "Hold My Hand". A beautiful, very emotional love song on this album rather simply comes across as opposed to many other tracks, because the electronic components has been significantly reduced and set to acoustic instruments that produce a relaxing reggae vibe and a brilliant performance by Sean Paul on a Highlights of the album merge. In order not to place undue fall on the soft track, then the synthesizer was again turned neatly and forged "She Want Me" and "Daddy's Home" two powerful dance numbers that are the album entitled "Imperial Blaze" more than fair.

Rhythmic, but not dominant Drums determine the sound of "Pepperpot", what's more an occasional onset acoustic guitar, causing a relaxing touch of bonfire on the beach atmosphere and puts us a little bit in Sean's native Jamaica. It seems almost like a repetitive concept that subsequent to devote to this quiet song which again more the higher pace and the more powerful bass, which of course makes sure that it does not become monotonous, but it also acts as a bit unimaginative. Similarly drags on until the very end - Dancehall Kracher paired with chilled titles. Attention should be drawn here especially "Straight From The Heart", a song that Sean Paul has devoted his mother, accordingly, really comes from the heart and in spite of instrumentals, which is more reminiscent of holidays, loses none of emotion and feeling, at the latest when Sean the chorus blares, you know what the hour has struck. The finale is "Imperial Blaze", as it could be otherwise, with a forceful re-thumping smash called "I Know U Like It".

"Imperial Blaze" should enable Sean Paul's fans again in ecstasy, for the now 36-year-old has not forgotten anything. However, one must also note that maintains its development in limits. It works though all sovereign and not as playful as before, one or the other experiment, leaving the usual realms times, but would once have been desirable. Overall, an album that once again raises the summer and really sure makes very good in any collection of dancehall lover.
