An adaptation Bd has also emerged in late 2012 at Ankama editions. You can find out my review in a few days.
It is with great pleasure and a bit of fear that I decided to read this book. Is it as good as I remembered?
The answer is yes. From the first pages, I plunged with delight in the adventures of the black child. In a devastated world, despite its difference in color that is well worth the torments him, the child uses all his wits to survive. Is doing well after all most exciting adventures as each other.
"In the distant days when the ocean covered most of the land, which only emerged high massive Usa, Cuba, Haït, Eurafrica, this tube had been built by men. It was only a special garbage chutes. Dangerously radioactive waste were encompassed within the spheres of sealed concrete, driven by pressure, rolled into the tube until the seabed of six thousand meters in the middle of the monsters of the deep, where there was a ridged cold night luminescent fish . Composed of short chapters, Niourk allows much a discovery of science fiction / anticipation for a young reader a fascinating read for any fan of the genre. It addresses many important issues of our current society, such as racism, pollution, religious and community life. Each theme sinsere perfectly into history and rich.
We reflect a lot and is distracted as much. The action is supported and well this unresolved.
The environment surrounding our young hero is also fascinating. One can easily imagine the great octopus attack the camp, or wandering black child in a New York became crazy. We can easily understand from reading his descriptions why Stefan Wul was adapted to film and comics. His way of describing his universe lends itself particularly well to this exercise.
The hero of the story is none other than the "black child". It has no name because it has never been considered a full member of his tribe. This reinforces the sense of fragility that surrounds it. This also makes it very engaging. The young readers will have no trouble identifying with this brave young boy.
To conclude, is a must Niourk classic fiction literature. Whatever your age, if you have not read, run fast to buy it.
