The transmitter is curved on the back not flat but convex. This gives directly 2 disadvantages:
- The transmitter is on only on a narrow strip. Characterized the transmitter a high tilt load is suspended when it is not pressed in the center.
- Man has with horizontal mounting a "dirt groove" on the can settle dirt, but also snow.
Even otherwise, it is not possible to order far with installation:
- The two holes are arranged asymmetrically. Therefore, it is not possible to turn the bell in retrospect.
- The mounting holes for the screws are not pre-drilled. When screwing it therefore with the screw forms a thread in the housing. For plug assembly but is a "free rotation" required when the screw is all the way in, so that spreads the dowel. For this one must then turn so fixed until the formed thread is destroyed. The tightness is not conducive to determine, especially light passes through the convex shape of water in this area, but can not drain.
Further mounting problems:
- It has no match, if the holes do not agree 100%.
- The thin cog appear to be a bit short for the dowels.
- The clip for attachment was not so. There were present:
- A small plate with which the bell would firmly fitted with an eyelet.
- A blind cover, if you wanted to ring the bell on a wire.
For recipients:
As already written some customers, it is large and heavy. I do not see as a disadvantage. Fatal is the fairly small footprint, so that the part tends to tip over when you turn comes.
The ringtones: these are compared to the Aldi-gong to beat in terms of poverty hardly. Whoever buys an extra loud ringer and expensive, certainly expected something longer sounds (just hard of hearing) or melodies, and not just a short ding-dong in different variations. Is the average sound duration is less than 3.5 seconds! As I would have expected much more. Tip: at the company ELV you can download to listen to the sounds as mp3.
The "flash" is not so great. Only when the ringing is long gone, there are two Blitzchen torment with mehrsekündigem distance from the device.
My Conclusion:
The reception problems as in the Aldi device I have not. It also makes a solid impression. Nevertheless, I have, in particular when it comes to fixing the transmitter and the sounds of the receiver, expected much more! I think if I had known, I would have bought a Norvar-Friedland device.
