After installing TM Extreme, however, was my BD-burner (Pioneer BDR-208EBK) "disappeared".
He was no longer displayed and no longer worked, in the Device Manager, a conflict has been displayed - driver can not be loaded or is defective .....
After closer inspection I found that yet another driver has been displayed (ArcSoft) next to the Windows driver. The path displayed, revealed a driver from 2006 !!!
Apparently even a dedicated BD driver is installed when you install TotalMedia Extreme, a very old, which is not compatible with my new Pioneer quite in this case.
Of course I made a immediate update of TM Extreme, only this has not changed the outdated driver.
Also, I tried to get a new driver at Pioneer, this does not exist, however. Even the deletion of Arcsoft driver from system32 .... did nothing.
Unfortunately, I realized too late that the BD burners a TotalMedia Extreme 2 version was placed. The PC I have then on the initial state; set (only Windows without any software at Win8 very comfortable and simple solution) and lo and behold my BD-burner is detected again and worked. Then this one is still playing TM Extreme 2 and now everything works as desired.
There are only two stars:
In retrospect, I have tried to find out what BD burner (or Player) TM Extreme supports, unfortunately, nothing to find (had therefore brought me nothing if I had previously been so smart).
Next I find it a pity that in released updates are obviously no drivers here. Possibly This is also intended to make the customer a reason to buy the newer version has, because if everything is running the software does what it should. So I read it in various. Reviews.
Normally open and already installed software can not be returned, after telephone consultation with Amazon and explanation of what has happened, I can the product still return (if that actually works and I get my money back, there are five stars, but only for Amazon ).
