It easily snaps on its very stable base, safe to disconnect accidentally. The carafe turns freely on it, allowing easy use of the left hand as the right. Not stupid! As with its big brother. The handle is reminiscent of a pitcher and provides good grip.
A sober color, highlighted by a sparkling touch. Also good point for the switch that automatically returns to zero in case of accidental activation or when the water is warm. By cons, unlike its big brother, it does not emit little "ding" sound when the water is warm.
The removable filter has been improved a bit and withdrew more easily. End but solid, it rinses easily and prevents the fall of any scale particles in your tea.
A graduation cups gives a good benchmark and more we see the water level transparency on both sides of the jug. Very well thought out, but nothing new there either from its "ancestor" ...
The cable is unfortunately a little short (about 60 cm) and requires the proximity of an outlet, like its predecessor. To believe that it has become a fashion among kettles manufacturers!
A good point to the possibility of winding the cable under the stand, to store all magic. But again, not known for innovation in relation to Philips - HD4676 / 40 - Kettle.
I want to emphasize the quality of materials used: robust plastic that, if it is identical (in any case, it looks like!) To his ancestor, not yellow; bottom of the jug stainless steel, easy to descale.
And the spout does not drip, never drops of water on the table !!
So I think overall that this kettle honorably fulfills its contract
So why have only put 4 stars ???
Because a kettle 0.8 liter more expensive than its big 1 liter sister is in my opinion a heresy that is not justified, since it has no innovation. Will not make me believe that the black color and anise cover costs more and explains a few euros more ...
On the other hand, the cable is still short (about 60 cm) than the older versions. Philips has therefore not given much thought and evolved in the meantime. Sorry, but at the office, everyone does not have an outlet at the height of the worktop. And to achieve the power outlet on the ground, well it means putting the kettle on the edge of the table. In the kind safe and convenient, we've seen better !!!
Therefore, I recommend it for its size, its look and very practical side to wash and de-scale as well as the quality of materials. However, for the price and the length of cable, mini-Miss Kettle undoubtedly misses the test ...
