I was pretty skeptical when I first heard that the new Star Trek series before Kirk, Spock would play & pill. Especially the problems that one is the history of the other 4 series not mess up the script writers certainly not be easy. That was earlier a problem. If I so because the "alleged" first encounter with the Ferengi TNG crew and Trill think, which were then carried out in DS9 absurdity ... But enough of that. Broken Bow is a great introduction to the new series and not comparable to the (in my opinion) disastrous launch of DS9 and TnG. Broken Bow has really everything you need for a good double episode and it is interesting to see how the crew rumschlägt with new technology, which is a known for 30 years. Warp speed 5, is beamed only "dead" material, torpedoes are still being tested, shields, there is not. Every Star Trek fan I can only recommend the two-part episode, because it shows how it all began. All others who like science fiction, but Star Trek is not know (are there any?)
