When switching from PC to an iMac I wanted to use the opportunity of the TV reception again. In addition to the EyeTV box is available for the Mac still a similar box of Terratec, probably also a collaboration with Elgato because the operating software of Terratec for Windows is available on the DVD of EyeTV. Terratec I knew well from PC times and had -As many PC users in equally numerous in forums the frequent difficulties with driver installation and poor firmware support bad memories (apart from the excellent quality of hardware per se). So actually came only EyeTV box in question, and after reading the very positive reviews here, I resorted to courageously. Everything else was mentioned here: Find MAC typical, simple and quick installation, channels, update software and off you go .......... I have never been easier a TV card (or box) on a computer installed. Almost boring .......... no reboot, no debugging, no Blue Screen ....... boring ..... hihi
But what fascinates me and justify the perhaps quite high price is the ability to receive HDTV. I'm looking forward to the launch of HD ARD to the Winter Games in Vancouver. The first impressions of the test transmitter and ARTE HD are extremely promising! The already sharp iMac Monotor brings HD quality over very neat!
My full recommendation applies this satellite box Elgato !!!!!!!
