Purchase decision
Since I have far too little money for cheap stuff available, I looked around in high price segment. The market is indeed more than satisfied, I had almost an endless choice of all colors and shapes.
Why I decided to man for the B & O headphones? Beats were of course still in question. There, however, I had a bad feeling: Apple had to pay only 3 billion for the brand and operates a massive marketing. This is of course both what goes into the product price. Since the "unknown" B & O had me naturally much more sympathetic at first.
Second reason: I have a plant of B & O (BeoPlay A9; "satellite dish"), with which I am very satisfied. The sound patterns there is very balanced, not too much, not too little, suitable for all types of music and a beast, if they asked for it.
Third reason: The existing reviews here, which were then still written by people who have attained a certain spiritual maturity (compare the Preteen reviews of beats).
Haptics
As mentioned elsewhere, the stink headphones at the beginning, but this has evaporated after 2-3 days. They are lightweight but nevertheless highly stable work. The color and the feel are outstanding. Among the cushions hardly begins to sweat ('m so already driven bike). Commendable also that the cushion with no problems (just unscrew) are exchangeable. Exemplary! What something makes me afterwards: The rotating mechanism is then quite easily. The future will show if there is not yet something is turned off by mistake.
Sound
Unlike other reviews I felt my headphones from the outset to be very balanced. The sound is crystal clear, the highs are very balanced, added, not particularly bass-heavy, but what I find positive. House and Rap still sounds great. Suddenly no longer sufficient at 192kbps MP3. In fact, I now hear a lot of details on some songs that were previously swallowed easily. A delight, even for me as a non-audiophile people skeptic. Another positive aspect: The insulation is very, very good. Exterior noise is filtered just fine, I find it difficult to follow living room volume discussions yet. Again, I have to say: full marks.
Negative aspects
That the headphones have two inputs or "sewers", is very convenient. First, because you can choose from which side the cable should hang down. Perfectionists will rejoice. Secondly, because it opens up the possibility that someone "listen" can. The latter is unfortunately happen relatively rare, since the input to the jack was then very concentrated (perhaps to minimize cables squeaking?). Not even the 3m-living room cable from my old Senn hoarse fit pure - and they were already very thin because of the Sennheiser the latch width also restricted. I have the cable then simply "cope carved" what works 1a and I had to buy a new. Nevertheless, very few cables are simply enter fit, which is a bit unfortunate and unnecessary.
Second negative aspect: The supplied 1.2m iPhone cable is really cheap. The remote control works even more unstable than the supplied iPhone headphones. Why can a headset for 400EUR EIA not sometimes be accompanied by a high-quality cable? Incomprehensible to me.
My conclusion is yet again at any time. The headphones convince the sound of the touch and the feel. Just a few inconsistencies with the cable cloud the near-perfect overall picture. But perhaps there will soon be a H7 ....
