Even the problem child of Lenovo, the laptop my wife has to get a new wireless card and an internal antenna 3. Some time ago extra and wanted the Netgear professional router under 5 Ghz. make no more than 54 Mbps. I'm so desperate. And hardly depends of Aiport Express on the wall (TESA Power Strip instead of expensive holder) makes the device full 300 MBit.
My MacBook wanted with the Netgear router not faster than 270Mbps. transferred - now it's the full 300 MBit.
The decor was simple, but I have not even turned a Schleppi but simply put the iPad. Everything went like clockwork and the connections are now stable at 300 MBit (line of sight, about 3 meters).
The following disadvantages have to mention, but I knew, of course, before buying:
- No POE (Power over Ethernet cable) what my Netgear AP had previously.
- No wall attachment (ie Tesa Powerstrips arrangements)
- No Gigabit LAN (but can be reached via WLAN eh no 100 MBit net.)
And again the benefits:
- Beautiful Design
- Very small housing
- No separate power supply unit
- No interfering antennas
- Correct functioning at full speed
- USB port for printer or for charging a mobile phone
And once again turns out to buy cheap then I buy 2x. Rather just spend money and save yourself the trouble.
