Mid-January 2011 I have the first Vertex 2 for my laptop (Lenovo B560) here at Amazon bought. After ~ 2 weeks, the Win7 / 64 system hung up suddenly for no apparent reason. After a reboot, the plate was no longer recognized by the BIOS, which is why I initiated an exchange through Amazon. While the new board worked, but this was from the outset an obtrusive hissing noise from - I mean really very quiet but in quiet surroundings unmistakable. Unfortunately, I have but then the 30-day return period at Amazon missed, otherwise I would have been spared further trouble.
Last week (May 2011) happened again exactly the same: Windows off, reboot, disk is no longer recognized. To make matters worse, I can decide now whether I the disk at its own expense in the Netherlands chic (OCZ has no German branch) or whether I abwickle exchanges on Amazon and it may take a longer waiting period to complete.
For nearly 20 years now, I am working with PCs or hard drives but something unreliable as this part is not yet occurred to me until now.
