Associated for me with 8GB of Crucial Ram (CT102464BF160B), a Transcend ssd M.2 (TS256GMTS800) and a hard disk 2.5 1TB Samsung / Seagate (Momentus 5400tours / min, the quietest).
Boot in a flash, the ssd M.2 seems much faster than the Sata (compared to a Samsung 850 evo in 2.5 ").
Precautions:
1 / select the Ram Sodimm DDR3L to 1.35 V (1,5 V will not work) in 1600 mhz, CL11 or less. For those who want extreme performance, choose the 1866 mhz CL 10 in Kingston HyperX home (HX318LS10IBK2 / 8) tested compliant. There are 2 memory slots.
2 / The HDD or SSD 2.5 "can be 7 mm or 9.5 mm height.
3 / ssd in M.2 format can be of type PCI-e Sata or Sata but poses fewer compatibility problems and is cheaper. It may be of length 2242, 2260 or 2280 as desired.
4 / Do not forget the mini-HDMI cable / HDMI because Intel does not team its standard HDMI video output but uses a mini HDMI output.
For the second screen is a mini DisplayPort output. You will need a mini-DisplayPort cable / DisplayPort or mini-DisplayPort / HDMI.
It's really a very good choice in a minimum footprint that remains his main interest with a real silent operation and more.
